Me, Myself and Mayvelous
18 Dec
I just remember that I haven’t been posting weekly poems lately, as I rather lack inspiration these days. Anyways, I was listening to this song and thought the lyric is rather poetic so here I am posting it as a replacement.
To Have And Not To Hold – Madonna
To have and not to hold
So hot, yet so cold
My heart is in your hand
And yet you never stand
Close enough for me to have my wayTo love but not to keep
To laugh, not to weep
Your eyes, they go right through
And yet you never do
Anything to make me want to stayChorus:
Like a moth to a flame
Only I am to blame
Ba ba da ba ba ba
What can I do?
Ba ba da ba ba ba
I go straight to you
Ba ba da ba ba ba
I’ve been told
You’re to have, not to holdTo look but not to see
To kiss but never be
The object of your desire
I’m walking on a wire
And there’s no one at all
To break my fall(chorus)
You’re to have, not to hold
You’re to have, not to hold(chorus)
You’re to have, not to hold
You’re to have, not to hold
You’re to have, not to hold
To break my heart
P.S. I like “Ba ba da ba ba ba” part.

Thanks for the link Steve.
I must say, I prefer listening to the song as it is rather than watching that video.
The gal in the video is kind of moving too fast for a slow song. Also her acting does not match with the song lyrics and it changes the feel of it.
I dislike the way she moves her nose and mouth in sexy way which is irrelevant with this song nature. It’s supposed to be slow, melancholy, rather sad song and she’s acting…..funny. Apart from that acting, I like the song for its lyric and the melody.
But thanks for the video link, it’s good though.
Well, I must confess I didn’t know this lovely song before, so I simply searched on Youtube. Obviously you’ve been good enough to work as a judge in BBC’s Stricly come dancing. http://www.bbc.co.uk/strictlycomedancing/about/judges.shtml
