Me, Myself and Mayvelous

Oh what do you know lol…
My craziness has been noticed by alike minded crazy people. LOL
What an honor to be acknowledged my post “The Great Determinations of Mayvelous” as “Second best goals post” by Pitts Burgh Homes Daily Blog. The best post being our very own Darren’s Goals, second best is the greatest thing for me ever.
My sincere thanks.
Seems like I should bring out more of my evil, crazy side often and let people enjoy and muse about it. Haha.
Anyway you should check out his post and follow along the links he mentioned there.
A good compilation.

A friend of mine said, Windows Vista is really cool and recommanded me to try out. I don’t know what exactly it’s cool about. My ok with WinXP and current interest is on Win2003 Server since I’m doing project on that.
Anyway whoever interested in trying out WinVista, it’s out for download.
Today, Microsoft will make Windows Vista Beta 2 available to the masses for downloading in three different languages. If you can’t download you don’t have to worry, there will be also an option to order it on DVD media later my informant told me. The released build number will be 5384.4, same as the technical beta. Today is a big step forward to let the end-user have a look at Microsoft’s upcoming operating system and of course to let them tryout all new features.

I’ve learnt some new terms and terminologies in last night feed reading.
I got this new term from Korby’s Blog called: VSS Shadow Folder which I’ll be doing further research later.
Shadow Folder: is a read only copy of the tip version of all files in a given VSS project folder. It’s regularly updated.
Read a very resourceful article on Code Smells from Coding Horrors. Tell the truth, I have never heard of the usage “Code Smells” or “Refactoring” or “Coding Nose” before. Very interesting read and some good links to follow to. If you’re a programmer, you should definitely check it out.
Code Smells:
- is a jargon term used among programmers to refer to a symptom that indicates something may be wrong.
- watch for warning signs in your own code
- indicates that code should be refactored or the overall design should be reexamined.
Refactoring: is the process of rewriting a computer program or other material to improve its structure or readability while explicitly preserving.
Most intriguing (sometime annoying) thing about blogosphere feed reading is that, you got links after links from one post to another. You keep going and will never stop. One post references a few links and from those links you got some more links and on and on….You got to know where to stop and say, hey that’s enough, I don’t want to know anymore. Haha.

Necessity is the mother of invention – Jonathan Swift.
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but play is certainly the father – Roger von Oech.
I don’t really get it, do you? The first quote I kinda get it but once I read the second quote, I’m lost.

Just notice there is a few makeover on my flickr account.
They’re now in Gamma stage (which I don’t know what exactly mean) and done some neat layout there.
Beta » Grandma Gamma » Omega » Yada Yadar…
They’ve added those top dropdown menus and also placed the photo sets to the right. Alot neater.

Remember that Cache error at the bottom of my site??
Well guess what, it’s gone, finally!
It was nothing! I just created “cache” folder and give 777 access to it.
I did created cache folder before but it was in the wrong directory.
I thought I have to add that in the theme folder and the actual theme folder but no, it has to be at main root.
Well now it’s gone, phhhheeeewwwww!!
