Oh just doing free advertising. This one is a lot better than the last one – The Burglish Conversion.
This picks up the similar words and also convert simple English words.
Next Generation Burglish Chat with Burglish to Burmese Input Method – Testing Version v0.1.0821
Test is here. www.Burglish.com
http://www.soemin.net/php/chat3/
There is no intro or proper write up about the program yet, cos’ just out yesterday or so. The developer is a friend of mine, Ko Soe Min (Mark), you might see him around in some of my post comments.
The Burglish conversion there is very cool, the methods are very similar to those of Chinese and Japanese language packs. Ko Soe Min is very smart in Japanese Language so I guess he got the idea from there. I saw some of my Chinese friends uses their language installer and type in English which picks up Chinese characters and get the best match from it. This Burglish chat works in exact same way, it’s very fast and easy to use. But you need Firefox 1.5.
I’m just loving it. My bro and some of my friends who tested it also give a good thumb ups.
Excellent work Ako. It would be nice if you do a bit of intro write up and explain about it. Here I am spreading the good words, mont kwe oo naw. hehe.
Updated:
Please check “Mark” comments below for updates on the program.
There is a direct domain to the Burglish Chat now. visit: www.burglish.com

I’m so loving the new gtalk features.
I got the new features a few days back and just today I got time to check them out properly.
We’ve been working hard to add your top-requested features to Google Talk, such as fast and reliable file transfer, and the ability to send and receive voicemail messages for free. We’ve even created a fun little feature for you music lovers.
So today, we’re excited to be releasing these features to a small percentage of Google Talk users. We’ll be rolling these features out to all Google Talk users on the U.S.-English interface in the coming weeks.

My favorite one is voice mailing. You can send voice mail to the followings:
Oh when you send voice mail, the message goes like this.
The person you trying to reach is not available.
Please leave your message after “Me”.
Meee!
The last “Me” part is funny hehe.
Online Contact with New Gtalk Version

Offline Contact

Old version user

Non-Gmail Contact

I’m not a fan of direct file sending but still it’s good to have it since other messenger services got it.
The music playing status is cool too. I just love the music icon.
Music Status

Receiving Voice Mail

Anyway I just sent about 20 voice mails to my online, offline and other email friends now. hehehe :d I hope they appreciate my most sensational voice LOL.
Oh yah do drop me some voice mails too so I can check out your fantastic voices.

Whenever you get this kind of error messages with instructions, do not follow the instruction straight away.
Always turn to your best friend, google, to see how others solve it and search for the best possible answer.
May be this is a bad advice but I never trust error message instructions. Of course you must read the message and instruction properly to see it is a sensible/reasonable instruction on the problem. As for me, I just have to find out whether others are actually following the instructions as mentioned or not.
The error:
Unable to find script library ‘/aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js’. Try placing this file manually, or reinstall by running ‘aspnet_regiis -c’.
The error dialog box pops up on those pages with form validation.
This problem happens whenever the system cannot access aspnet_client folder either you don’t have a permission or it is not in your root directory, ie. when you changed the root directory for your virtual folders, from Inetpub/wwwroot to some other folder, and when you use Validation controls (eg. RequiredFieldValidator, ValidationSummary, etc) on input TextBoxes in one of your site.
You can check whether you are using the default root or not by checking the property > Home Directory of your IIS virtual directory as shown on the following images.
For this error, I don’t like uninstalling IIS and reinstall again just for the sake of one site error. There got to have some easier way to solve it and yes, there is.
I’ve also found out that when you follow the error instructions straight away, you might screw up the problem more and some of the google results shows that it actually got screwed in some cases.
Some people uninstalled and reinstalled IIS but that doesn’t solve the problem and they have to uninstalled and reinstalled .net framework as well.
Different solution for different cases I’m sure, but for my case, I tried the easiest resolution ie. copy the aspnet_client folder from wwwroot to my new virtual root folder, and voila it works!

A team of young software engineers (most of them students, I think) have came out with Burglish Converter project which is currently in prototype 2.2 and public testing stage.
This is an on-going research activity to develop a computer system that can translate Burglish(Burmese- English) words into pure Burmese words in Burmese font. The system is currently being developed by a few Burmese software engineers who are motivated in Language Technology.
A few years back, my brother and I thought of doing the same project but as lazy arses as we are, we couldn’t motivate enough to start at all and finally forgotten about it.
We are glad that someone actually doing this and though the project is very basic with lots of limitations, I’m proud to see something happening after all.
I don’t know much of actual back-end processes they doing but seems like they are collectiong Buglish words inputs, retype them in Burmese and log them back to the database. Not an efficient way but it does work.
There is no standard in Buglish writing yet, but I’m sure we will have some standards soon as rite now I can see a few word structures like putting “Wai Sar Nha Lone Pout(:)”, eg. for normal word “kar” will create no “:” but once you type “karr”, it will add (:). Same thing for other words like “Min” – “Minn” etc.

You can tell there is going to be lots of spelling errors while converting specific Buglish word to Burmese word cos’ there are lots of different ways we use one character/word. Nevertheless it’s quite fun typing up and checking the conversion.
Oh yah, it does spell my name correctly so I LIKE it!!

So here I am just spreading the word so that you can go test it out and in turn help those developers collect the inputs.

I posted about mapsurface “Press Alt X” a while back and been using and loving it. It’s very light and efficient to analyze a quick track down of your stats. Today I noticed that they’ve upgraded the interface and added search string feature.
New features 9 June 2006
MapSurfure has been updated. We have added a search phases report so that you can see how people find your content. The map tool now records clicks on buttons so that you can also see howusers navigate away from a page containing forms.
Also there is roll over effect with color and graphics to the left hand side controls.Cute. Press Alt X and check it for yourself. They’re still on test drive and you can request an invite at their site: mapsurface.

A friend of mine said, Windows Vista is really cool and recommanded me to try out. I don’t know what exactly it’s cool about. My ok with WinXP and current interest is on Win2003 Server since I’m doing project on that.
Anyway whoever interested in trying out WinVista, it’s out for download.
Today, Microsoft will make Windows Vista Beta 2 available to the masses for downloading in three different languages. If you can’t download you don’t have to worry, there will be also an option to order it on DVD media later my informant told me. The released build number will be 5384.4, same as the technical beta. Today is a big step forward to let the end-user have a look at Microsoft’s upcoming operating system and of course to let them tryout all new features.

I’ve learnt some new terms and terminologies in last night feed reading.
I got this new term from Korby’s Blog called: VSS Shadow Folder which I’ll be doing further research later.
Shadow Folder: is a read only copy of the tip version of all files in a given VSS project folder. It’s regularly updated.
Read a very resourceful article on Code Smells from Coding Horrors. Tell the truth, I have never heard of the usage “Code Smells” or “Refactoring” or “Coding Nose” before. Very interesting read and some good links to follow to. If you’re a programmer, you should definitely check it out.
Code Smells:
- is a jargon term used among programmers to refer to a symptom that indicates something may be wrong.
- watch for warning signs in your own code
- indicates that code should be refactored or the overall design should be reexamined.
Refactoring: is the process of rewriting a computer program or other material to improve its structure or readability while explicitly preserving.
Most intriguing (sometime annoying) thing about blogosphere feed reading is that, you got links after links from one post to another. You keep going and will never stop. One post references a few links and from those links you got some more links and on and on….You got to know where to stop and say, hey that’s enough, I don’t want to know anymore. Haha.
