Check out my garage! Remember last time I sent you guys email about my garage sales?
Well I still got plenty more left so I’m building garage like this at my back yard.
Now is this cool or is this cool?

This is gonna be my new garage and yes I’ll have to take quite a time to fit all my wheels in there. Well I just hope it’s enough space there.

The 2 photos above were taken at Volkswagen’s new storage facility in Wolfsburg, Germany. The actual space that the facility occupies is approximately only 20% of a comparable facility with the traditional design that is used primarily in the US. Not only is the German structure less expensive to build, but vehicles are also “retrieved” in less time and without the potential of being damaged by an attendant. Collecting your new car is an event in itself. “In a fully automated procedure, your new car is brought down to you from one of the 20-story Car Towers. Large signboards in the Customer Center show you when your turn has come. Then, you’re handed the keys, your picture is taken, the glass doors open and your brand-new car appears. You’re all set to go”.

Hi friends,

There will be a ‘small’ garage sale at our house this Sunday, Feb 19.

It’s a bit embarrassing really, but because of my family’s current
situation (expenses. etc.), we are finding it a bit difficult with
money at the moment.

We’ve decided to have a sale to possibly keep our heads above water…
Desperate times call for desperate measures.

We are sure that we will pull out of this mess sooner or later, but in
the meantime, you gotta do what you gotta do.

I have attached a photo of our stuff so that you can check out
anything you like.

Please let me know as soon as possible if there’s anything that
catches your fancy, so that I can reserve it. At any rate, hope to
see you at my place on Sunday.

Hey there is a new feature on gmail called “Gmail Pictures”.
Instead of seeing custom photos of your contacts on gtalk program, you can now see their photos and update your photos on gmail itself.
I think it’s kinda like small pop up showing when you rollover an email or on contact names.

To enable that you have to upload your photo in Settings » My Photos and follow the steps here: How do I select my own Gmail picture?.

What are Gmail pictures?
Gmail pictures allow you to put a face to a name, by showing user-selected pictures when you roll over a name in your inbox, Contacts, or Quick Contacts list. You can choose your own photo for yourself and for your contacts, suggest a photo for a contact to use, or see what your friends have selected for themselves.

Gmail pictures can be configured to show to all users who you email or who email you, or they can be limited to only those users who are able see when you’re online. You can see a full list of users who can see your online status from the All Contacts tab of your Contacts page – they’ll be listed with a colored ball next to their name.

They’re still in the process of rolling this feature out to all users, so keep an eye out for it in your account!

I haven’t seen “My Picture” option in my mail “Settings” yet, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time…Looking forward to that.

I’ve been using this widget for a while and haven’t write about it. All thanks to Jason who used it in one of his project and forwarded me the link.

mapsurface is a web page activity widget that helps you quickly see how people find, navigate and value the pages of your web site. Press Alt X

Its purpose is to provide an understanding of how users find, navigate and value web pages. It displays this information in a compact widget which sits above the web page. Andy Budd has written anexcellent review which is worth reading.

It’s very easy to implement and interesting to test out, you just need to add a line of JS script in your header section. You have to request for the trial invitation cos’ it’s still in a test drive.

It’s good for a site with lots of hits/visitors so that you can see the activities properly. My site stats won’t be that interesting.
Still I like it, pretty cool stuffs.

Just press Alt X keys and you’ll see the widget pop up. More interesting this is, once you click on “map”, it shows the click through links across the page.

Well I’m loving it and you guys can test it out too so better request invite from mapsurface.com.

Technology is cool but someone tell me is it really necessary?

A system provides search results from a voice search query. The system receives a voice search query from a user, derives one or more recognition hypotheses, each being associated with a weight, from the voice search query, and constructs a weighted boolean query using the recognition hypotheses. The system then provides the weighted boolean query to a search system and provides the results of the search system to a user.

Translation: the system listens to your spoken query, does its magic, and returns the results.

I just saw you this evening!!!

Jason Sheehy died on Sunday. He was such a good and fun guy that I can’t help but smile whenever I think of him.

The first search result “Jason Sheehy” on google returns like that, can you believe it?

Lately I’ve been getting too much errors in my browser FireFox.
I’m sure what the cause of those errors but there is an obvious slowness in the broswer especially with gmail chat on.
Sometime I can’t even move from one tab to another and whenever I try to type email, the letters appear too slow.
May be I got too much extensions loaded or conflicting some.

I tried to use Opera sometimes but it’s abit slower page load…or that’s how I feel, plus cant use my favorite extensions.
Anyway it’s very annoying to get errors all the time…if it’s keep happening, me not gonna like it anymore.
