I just found out that I have some authority to kick someone out from the seat.

Once you become an intermediate(not yet senior) developer, you’re getting some authority over juniors.

Today we are moving upstairs and switching places with sales team, so everyone choosing and reserving places.

I got in late and no good seats left for me but a good senior advices that I can use my authority to kick someone from the seat. (How cool is that :p)

So, I’m planning to use my full authority over some unfortunate juniors and take over the world!! (I mean seats)
Mwahhhwarrrr!!!!!!!!!

(Ok, I can never do that sound properly, but it creates a great feeling and a grand(rather stupid) sound effect saying it :p)

I just found out our great company policy.
“Work Will Set You Free”, yah right!.

A: I was asked today by our GM as to whether you guys are happy to which i could not really give an answer but to say i have’nt had any complaints. Anyway it brought to mind these papers which i found very interesting and maybe of interest to you.

B: unhappy people will also get more work, as therapy to take their minds off their unhappiness.
to summarise company policy on this matter:

1. happy people will be given more work, as happy have more capacity to work
2. unhappy people will be given more work, as they need the distraction
3. people who are unsure, will also be given more work, just in case

its as the sign outside auschwitz that said “Arbeit Macht Frei” – Work will set you free (except here we don’t gas you)

You see, sometime our smart team conversations are annoyingly amusing.

Today,

• I thought of giving my mouse a bath, no, not that mouse, the other mouse, the IBM mouse, cos’ it was so sticky, sweaty and dirty though I use some kind of covering.
• Someone called and ask me whether I’m in the office and I said “Huh? No”, but I was already in the office, I guess I wasn’t listening properly and said whatever come to my lips.
• I went to ATM to withdraw some money, I wanted $100 but I pressed $200.
• I sent email twice without attachment(I thought I did) and I told them to see my attachment.
• I checked out some codes to edit, then I check that back in by clicking “undo check out”. There go my edited codes.
• I try to call someone across the road but that person is already across the room.
• I did a bit of screaming about changing my career but to what I don’t know, just shouted cos’ my head hurts.

Ok, I think I’m gone for a day.

One of the most annoying things to face early in the morning is not being connected to one of the damn servers where all the main project source safe DBs are.

You want to start your work nice and easy especially on Monday morning but some freaking reasons, it never happens.
One way or another my Monday mornings are spoiled by this kind of annoyance.

I just hope the connection doesn’t lost or my project gonna be in hell lotta mess.
Where are the system guys when you need one.
Oh I forgot, they always come after 10/11am. Very hard working freaks!!

And where is my coffee? Crap, my laptop low on power, forgot the damn recharger!
